Ben Lott, MHA, BSN, RN
Chief Executive Officer
Ben Lott, MHA, BSN, RN, has held his current position as Chief Executive Officer of Copiah County Medical Center (formerly Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital) since March 2016. Lott, a native of Bogalusa, Louisiana, came to the former Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital with many years of clinical and hospital administrative professional experience. During his time as Chief Executive Officer, Lott oversaw the overall plans, construction and opening of Copiah County's brand new critical access hospital, Copiah County Medical Center. The new facility - where state-of-the-art healthcare meets hometown values - opened its doors to the community in February 2017.
Lott's passion for excellence in health care stems from his nursing background. Lott earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in 2000 and his Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2015. He is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, a recipient of the 2015 Great 100 Nurses' Award, holds multiple clinical and leadership certifications, and has several other professional affiliations.
Dean Snider, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Dean Snider joined Copiah County Medical Center staff in October 2017. He graduated from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee, in 1982 earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Snider brings over 35 years of healthcare finance experience including 19 years as Chief Financial Officer at King's Daughters Medical Center, eight years with the University of Mississippi Medical Center as Assistant Chief Financial Officer and Director of Budgeting and Financial Reporting, and his most recent experience at Mississippi Baptist Health Systems over the facility's Budgeting and Decision Support departments. He is a CPA and is a member of Mississippi Healthcare Financial Management Association. He resides in Brookhaven, Mississippi, where he has lived for 30 years with his wife; together they have raised two children, who both have successful careers in the healthcare industry.
Teresa Harvey, RN, BSN
Chief Nursing Officer
Teresa Harvey joined the staff of Copiah County Medical Center as Quality Director in October 2016. She served as the hospital's Interim Chief Nursing Officer from June 2017 to April 2018 when she was named Chief Nursing Officer. Teresa - who has a nursing degree from Southwest Community College and a bachelor's degree in nursing from South University - has over 30 years of experience in the nursing profession and has dedicated her career to providing quality healthcare to the patients she serves. While Teresa's primary clinical background is in medical-surgical nursing, she has extensive professional experience in the following healthcare areas: Quality, Risk Management, Healthcare Compliance and Health Education.
Teresa was the first Compliance Officer at King's Daughters Medical Center in 1996. She also has experience as a staff nurse, nurse manager, risk manager and community education nurse. In addition, she was a Risk Management Consultant for a regional professional liability carrier for ten years. Her professional memberships include the following: Mississippi Hospital Association's Society of
Risk Managers; Mississippi Association of Healthcare Quality; Mississippi Association of Medical Staff Services; and, Mississippi Association of Healthcare Educators.
