Swing Bed

After a hospital stay, not everyone has the ability and strength to return to everyday living. That's why Copiah County Medical Center designed the swing bed program.

Our doctors, nurses, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams can make your transition from acute care to swing bed as seamless as possible. Our goal is to get you back on your feet both within and outside our facility. Please ask for details about the Swing Bed Program if you'd like to know more.

Skilled care is available for those whose health problems are too complicated for home care or assisted living after a qualifying hospital stay. Examples of skilled services provided: IV therapy, wound care, respiratory care, PICC insertion and care, physical, occupational, and speech services, daily activities, nutritional support, discharge planning, individualized patient and family education, and more. Patients are given goal-directed therapy 1-2 hours per day at least 5 days per week. All private patient rooms are spacious with a private bathroom and 32-inch flat-screen TV with DirecTV.
