HIM Clerk - Health Information
Responsible for compiling, organizing, and evaluating patient medical records using a variety of different indices, classification systems, and storage retrieval systems to organize medical records for quick and efficient retrieval when needed. Responsible for auditing medical records/charts for correctness and completeness. Other common job tasks include creating a new medical record/chart for newly-admitted patients and closing/scanning records upon a patient's discharge.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• 3 plus years in the Health Information Department
